About Our Teachers
Rex Henriques (Director) graduated
from the College of Performing Arts (now The University of the Arts) with a
B.F.A. in Ballet. After graduating top in his class, he traveled throughout
South America, Mexico, and the US as a professional performer. Some of his
credits include cruise ships, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and New York. Rex is
currently a professor of dance at The University of the Arts Musical Theatre
Department. In 1998, Rex turned his energy toward his first love, teaching,
creating the "Henriques Program", allowing students the opportunity to
reach their full potential. Rex also choreographs for professional theatre and
locally for the Bensalem High School musicals.

Lorelei Lee (Director) coming
from a show business family, her performing career has taken her all over the
world appearing as a lead adagio dancer in the major showrooms of Las Vegas,
Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, Manila, and South America. She appeared in Larry
Gatlin's "Alive and Well", "Chicago", and"My One and Only" at the
Bristol Riverside Theatre. She also appeared in "Carousel", "Showboat", "Music
Man", "Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum", King and I", "Guys and
Dolls", and "Pippin", to name a few. As a professional theatre
choreographer, her credits include "Annie Get Your Gun", "Mame", "Gypsy",
"Man of La Mancha", and "Most Happy Fella". Locally, at
the Bucks County Playhouse, "She Loves Me", "Gypsy", "Jekyll &
Hyde", "Wonderful Life", and "King and I". Other credits include
numerous industrial shows for Mobil, Sony, Bombay Liquor, U.S. Healthcare, as
well as many corporate events. She has been teaching all aspects of dance for
the past 19 years. Lorelei is also the creator of the "Easy Steppers", about 25
senior citizens who perform locally and on TV.

Rachel Grisi (Ballet, Pointe, Modern)
trained with Jeoffrey Ballet, Princeton Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and Martha Graham,
where she is a member of the Martha Graham Ensemble. She has taught for the
Princeton Ballet and the Dayton Ballet Company. Rachel lives in New York, and
is on scholarship at "Steps" as well as a freelance dancer in New York.
Nationally, Rachel has appeared in Dance Spirit Magazine as the feature
cover story.

Karen Cleighton (Hip-Hop, Tap) comes
to us with years of experience. She can be found teaching at The University of
the Arts, summer camp, or right around the corner. No matter where you find
her, you can always feel the energy and you can see her love for dance and
people as she teaches jazz, tap, hip-hop, swing, and musical theatre. She has
taught master classes throughout the tri-state area, and judges and teaches for
Dance Masters and ITDI (Internation Teachers of Dance). Karen just finished
teaching the pre-college program at The University of the Arts, and is now
working at the Pennsylvania Ballet Rock School. When she is not teaching, you
can find her working with many of the entertainment companies in the area as a
dancer, choreographer, or producer. Some of those companies include Roberts
Event Group and Visual Sound. She has produced, choreographed, and danced in
numerous shows in Atlantic City Casinos. Whatever role Karen is in at the time,
she always gives 150% and it truly shows.

Michelle David (Hip - Hop) has
studied dance her whole life. She went on to the High School of Performing
Arts, University of the Performing Arts. Both majoring in dance. She has
performed with the Freedom Theatre, DisneyWorld dancer ,and dancer on tour with
NSync. to name a few. She danced in the Thanksgiving Day parade for years. She
is currently a dancer with the "76ers" dance team.

Mary Ellen Meehan (Jazz) trained
at several studios in the area before realizing that BCDC had the most to
offer. She started dancing here in 1989, and has been teaching for almost 6
years. She has danced professionally for an entertainment group, as well as
performing at several benefits and fundraisers. She is dance captain of BCDC's SYNERGY,
(member since 1991). Her trademark sit-ups are a favorite with her Tuesday
evening class.

Christina Patchell Born and
raised in Philadelphia, Christina began her dance career at an early age. She
attended such schools as The Holiday Ballet Theater, Pennsylvania Ballet,
Joffery Ballet, Governors School for the Arts and The Philadelphia High School
for the Performing Arts. Christina performed with the Marc Scott Dancers,
touring the East Coast, for four years and has also performed in "Elvis Nights"
and "Somewhere Over Time" with Pembrua Productions in Japan. Currently
Christina is finishing her final year at The University of the Arts and will be
receiving her BFA in Dacne Education. She teaches at several institutions
throughout Philadelphia and West Chester, such as The Creative and Performing
Arts High School. After graduation, Christina wishes to pursue a Masters degree
in Dance Therapy and continue to perform. |

Michael Licata (Acting Instructor)
has been a professional actor for 27 years, and has appeared on Broadway in
Sweet Charity and Evita. Off-Broadway, in the long-running "The Fantasticks".
His career has taken him all over the world, appearing in dozens of musicals.
In Philadelphia, he received a Barrymore nomination for his portrayal of Billy
Flynn in the Bristol Riverside Theatre's producton of Chicago. On
television, he appeared in One Life To Live. As a director, he has been
responsible for The King And I, Sweet Charity, She Loves Me, and Lend Me
a Tenor at the Buck's County Playhouse in New Hope, PA. He has also
directed Gypsy, Man of LaMancha, and Mame at the Media Theatre in
Media, PA. His career has benefited from working with Bob Fosse, Harold Prince,
and Albert Marre, among others.

Bobby Gee (Tap) has been
dancing, competing, and performing since he was very young. He is
a highly accomplished tap dancer and teacher. Bobby was an original
"Synergy" member here at the BCDC. He now teaches tap at the High School of
Performing Arts along with running his own studio for the past 10 years. |

David Cohen (Acrobatics) has
trained extensively as a gymnast and coach. He was an original member of
SYNERGY. He is not only an accomplished teacher but lots of "fun"! The kids
love him! |

Danny Haus (Beak/Hip - Hop)
is a self-taught natural. Very creative and talented performer and teacher. You
can see Danny performing locally, in Atlantic City and New York. He was also in
a commercial for Play Station II! |
